The National Human Rights Commission of Korea will carry out human rights education program in cooperation with the Incheon Metropolitan City to teachers working at kindergartens to create an environment that prioritizes protection of human rights of children.

The NHRCK decided to carry out ‘itinerant human rights education for infants’ and ‘program to enhance human rights sensitivity for infants’ starting from November, believing that teachers’ perception on human rights has to change in order to pursue child-care that respects human rights of infants.

Under the itinerant human rights education for infants, human rights instructors of the NHRCK will make a visit to kindergarten to provide human rights education to teachers.

In addition, through the program to advance human rights sensitivity, the NHRCK plans to enhance teachers’ human rights sensitivity and their understanding on human rights of infants by sharing diverse cases.

The NHRCK will continue to make efforts to enhance human rights sensitivity of teachers to create a human rights friendly environment for child-care by cooperating with various stakeholders including the Incheon Metropolitan City.
