NHRCK Chairperson Meets with EU Ambassador to Korea
On January 26, Chairperson Young-ae Choi of the National Human Rights Commission of Korea met with European Union Ambassador to Korea H.E. Ms. Maria Castillo Fernandez. Ambassador Castillo Fernandez previously worked at the European Commission and EU Delegation to Korea to improve the overall relations between the EU and the Korean peninsula. Chairperson Choi and Ambassador Castillo Fernandez discussed a range of human rights topics such as abortion and anti-North Korea leaflets and agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation including through co-hosting an event on women’s rights.
