NHRCK appointed an Honorary Ambassador for Abolition of the Death Penalty

National Human Rights Commission of Korea appointed Singer Lee Eunmi as an Honorary Ambassador for the abolition of the death penalty to raise people’s awareness on abolition of the death penalty and enhance human rights sensitivity. Lee Eunmi has carried out activities to promote the right to life including participating in the movement to enact a special act on the Ferry Sewol and protect the socially marginalized. Chairperson Choi Youngae appreciated her for keen attention on and activities for human rights and asked for continuous and active participation.
