Chairperson of NHRCK attended the GANHRI Annual Meeting

o Chairperson Lee Sung-ho of the National Human Rights Commission of Korea attended the General Meeting of Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions held in Geneva, Switzerland on 6-8, March, 2017.
o Chairperson Lee, as Chair of the GANHRI Working Group on Ageing, led the Working Group meeting and presented last year’s activities at the GANHRI General Meeting.
o Chair Beate Rudolf of GANHRI highly appreciated activities of the Working Group carried out under the leadership of Chairperson Lee which led to recognition of formal participation right of NHRIs in New-york based UN meetings.
o Meanwhile, NHRCK and other NHRIs granted with A status at last year’s deliberation were given with the certificates.
