The World for All National Human Rights Commission of Korea is always with you

Korean society underwent drastic change over the last decade. One such change is the sharp increase in the number of foreigners living in Korea. This has been attended by a commensurate increase in the number of illegal aliens. The Commission has investigated illegal activities or cruel acts against them that might arise in the crackdown on illegal immigration and recommended an improvement. It has also investigated conditions and treatment at detention facilities accommodating these foreigners and pressed in various ways for improvements. The Commission presents the agencies concerned guidelines for the protection of migrant workers' human rights and conducts a fact-finding investigation to understand the human rights conditions and seek alternatives. It strives to protect these foreigners' human rights through on-site investigations at foreigner detention centers, and it continues to host meetings and forums on migrants and support related human rights groups.
