Chairperson Met with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon

Chairperson Hyun Byung-Chul met with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon at UN Headquarters, Washington D.C. on September 9. Mr. Hyun paid a visit to the UN after the International Symposium for the Advancement of North Korean Human Rights which was hosted by NHRCK one day earlier.

 

During their talk, the two exchanged views on human rights in North and South Korea including migrants’ rights and discussed future cooperation between UN and NHRCK. 

 

At the International Symposium for the Advancement of North Korean Human Rights, experts in and outside the country discussed and shared opinions on the directions of long-term policies and roadmap for the advancement of North Korean human rights.
